Asus TUF X470 Plus Gaming vs MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon

Hi,

I have an offer for an TUF X470 at a cheaper price than an MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon.

As such, I wanted to know if there is anything better in the MSI board vs the TUF. Singapore has high prices for components (relatively), so any dollar that is saved counts in the long run.

I will be pairing it with a 2600 and 16 gigs of RAM at 3000 Mhz.

Thanks.

If you don't overclock, or will only overclock slightly with the 6 cores parts, the TUF will be fine. It is the higher power draw of the 8, or higher core counts in the future, that isn't fine with that VRM setup.

So overall the Gaming Pro Carbon is the better choice? I do intend on overclocking, but only ever so slightly and might not even do it.

Considering I want to stick with this line for as long as possible, I think I will go for the MSI board then. The VRM setup on that seems to be better.

That's correct. I would say the X470 Gaming K4 is the better .
