i want to transfer files from a pc infected with viruses (lets say i downloaded some games i shouldnt have....) to a new pc but im afraid that they will infect the new pc as well when transfering them.
those files mainly consist of save files/pdf/word/pp/music/pictures/lots of empty folders (organizing it all back then was a pain ;P).
is there a way to transfer them/most of them safely without worrying about viruses?

If transfer infected files...the new PC will be infected.

What steps have you taken to designate the non-infected files?

all i did as of now is to scan it with antivirus and antimalwares (microsoft security/badiu/malwarebytes) and it says they are clean

Personally, I would only do with with a Linux OS, AND a USB SATA dock.
I would not have that drive plugged in while the system boots up.

Or, a completely spare windows and the USB SATA dock. I wouldn't really care if it got infected, but I wouldn't go out of my way to let it.

the thing is that:a.i trade this pc with hes single hdd that has windows installed in it for a discount with the new pc.
b.i buy the new pc with windows pre-installed because i got no idea how to change os.
isnt there a way to pass them into a safe usb flash drive? or maybe is there a way to transfer some of the files safely via the internet (for example, uploading the pictures to a private album in imgur and downloading them on my other pc?)

If you are getting this 'used pc'...the very first thing that you must do is a full wipe and reinstall of the OS and everything else.
Whether you know how to do it or not...

Infected files are infected files. There is no "safe usb flash drive".

It's 'possible', if you're careful.
As we out here have no idea of the level of potential infection...it is impossible to state yea or nay.

for real? even those kind of files can be infected? and what if i transfer it un-directlly? the pictures i will upload to imgur and the music i will upload to sound cloud or youtube which im sure each site got a different way to compress them which will make them a bit safer

true, i know from where i downloaded all those stuffs.
most of the pictures are from google images (most of them are just from devianart/imgur/walllpapers sites) and the music is simply from youtube (you know those simple "youtube to mp3" sites) which im pretty sure are safe as well)
the qustion im asking actully if its possible for those pictures and music to contain those virus while transfering, like if its possible for viruses to infect other simple files while they are being transferd

Probably OK.
Just be careful how you do this, so as to not get the actual infected stuff.
