Csgo is lagging in windows mode

So i was playing csgo and noticed in windows mode it was freezing and getting low fps around 120. Once i changed it to full screen my fps went over 300

Specs

i7 7700k
gtx 1060 6gb evga sc
16gb ddr4 2400

Shouldn't change how you play csgo.

Can always turn it back on if don't change anything.

One way is what the op said in that thread;

"Here's how to disable it: Windows Settings > Gaming > Game Bar > "show game bar when I play full screen games Microsoft has verified" and "record clips, screenshots..." should both be OFF."

Or locate csgo exe > compatibility tab > check disable fullscreen optimisations.

Try both ways.

Can also disable fullscreen optimisation via csgo.exe compatibility tab

I use Windows 10, but my issue is different than what you linked. I dont lag when i go full screen. I only lag when i go windows mode or borderless windows mode

Fullscreen optimisation is bordeless windowed mode, not actually fullscreen mode. I suggested it as it could be interfering in windowed mode.

It's something to try. Did you read through it? Would be in your interest to know what fullscreen optimisation is.

I been reading it. So im guessing i should disable the fullscreen optimization mode? I honestly dont understand it. I personally like playing in fullscreen borderless windows mode. So should i have full screen optimization on or off
