Come one, come all.
I seek the wise ones in search of an answer. An answer only YOU can provide.

Okay, sorry. I'll just get to it...

SO, here's the sitch..I'm constantly at 40-43% RAM usage - currently using 6.9/16.0 GB.

My question is, with just Chrome running along with some background noise..is this OK?
I could post a screenshot of what's running..it seems the thing using the most is Razer Synapse?
Actually, it looks like most of the things biting me are from Razer.

I could turn off Synapse, but then I'd lose my precious colors! nooo
I had it so it was disabled, but I still had my profile loading...then I accidentally started it up and can't get it back to that. Oh well.

Thanks, guys!

Well, from those you showed it is using most but that doesn't mean it's too high although Kaspersky is kinda known to be a hog on resources. If you have to keep on using it, fine. Just to know, Windows Defender on W10 is not a slouch in protection any more, it became quite good. I gave up on 3rd party AVs and using WD for over a year now. Suplanted by Malwarebytes free and ADWcleaner which are not resident, I didn't have any problems yet.

But wait, I mean the temps and everything are in a really decent range, and everything seems to run fine - it's just something I noticed. As long as it isn't causing any issues, would it be a problem to leave it how it is?

Wait! OK, I disabled a bunch of services that weren't related to Microsoft during start up and the memory is real low now..

So that means it must be something on this list...would I have to go through one by one and find out, or are there ones that kind of stand out that can kind of work as my go to?

Thanks again, Mike. I really appreciate all of this.

It is taking up a chunk, but my total usage went down to 16% after getting rid of the rest of the stuff.

So you're saying it's Kaspersky? I've read that the usage it's currently at isn't really that high?

I'm so confused.

You're welcome, if you have W10, it's pretty good with memory management and woill not raise low memory alarms often.
On the other hand, it's not bad to use memory, that's what its for, only if you can cut down on useless staff that would also use less total resources, anything in RAM is also sureto use some CPU resources too.
