hi so i have 8gigs of ram in my secondary pc and an i3 3210 .. the cpu is intensely bottlenecking my gtx 1060 3gb ... but today i played ROTR and saw 8gb is not enough for ultra .. although my cpu bottlenecks my gpu ... soo should i like upgrade my ram to 16gb first or change my cpu first btw buying i7 3770 (no K version as i couldnt find good deal on it) is 8gb enough ?

Definitely upgrade the CPU, honestly I feel like the RAM isn't too much of a problem, your CPU is extremely old and is most definitely the weakest component in your build.

Why don't get an i5 and 16gb? i7 is NOT needed for gaming.

i7 is only needed if you stream, edit videos, or just run multiple high resource demanding software applications.

Not true anymore. Recent games (BF1, for example) use all cores they can take, and then some. 4 cores with HT or 6 cores without HT is slowly but surely becoming the requirement if you play latest games. Otherwise, you will have a 100% usage on CPU all the time :)

As someone said, you need to upgrade CPU for current titles. A third generation i3 has 2 cores, 4 threads, not 4 real cores. So, current games like BF1, WD2, AC Origins, etc, use that much power. If you can get that i7, then don't waste it, but a i5 would do.

8GB of ram is plenty these days, I can't see any game using more than that, unless your system has it. Keep in mind that use of ram is kind relatively.
