I currently have a problem with my pc. The problem is that after a while the pc is being used the screen turns to black and the message "HDMI no signal" is displayed. I tried reconnecting and disconnecting the GPU and even removed the gpu from the mobo and re inserted it but the problem is still there. Also, if you just restart the pc the will work as normal, but after a while the display turns to black and the same message comes up. I have the latest drivers installed, and this has been happening for the past week. Is it a problem with the GPU? The CPU of the pc is a Ryzen 7 1700x and the mobo is an AsRocks Killer 14 mobo. Anyone can help me? Thanks

While its being used. It happens randomly, and the gpu fan would still be spinning.

I can't check the voltages when it happens though because the screen won't work (I also tried with another monitor). If I'll press the reset button it starts to work again though.

I meant that I would check the voltages with a voltmeter.

Yeah, I don't have one. I think I'm going to contact the store where I bought the gpu from and see if they know whats wrong, or change the gpu.

You know, the GPU doesn't have to be in the top slot of the motherboard.
Why don't you try a different slot. Granted, it's all about PCI bandwidth blah blah blah. But if you change it, then if it works, then you know the motherboard is probably faulty. If it still carries on doing the same, then it's probably t he GPU that's faulty.

Tried it now, but I am trying to use Sketchup on my pc and I am getting a message that hardware acceleration is disabled and I can't figure out how to enable it, so because I need to use that program I switched it back to the top slot again.

Tried using a DVI cable instead, but the problem is still there

So it cured your problem of not crashing any more?
You just need to reinstall Direct X I'd say.

No, still the same, and I don't know how to fix it. Gonna take the pc to a shop so they can test it, and hopefully the problem is the gpu, so I can replace it under warranty. Only had the pc for like a month and half, and it was working with no problems.
