Hello thank you for taking your time to read this, I'm not too good at English.

Specs:

CPU: i7 4790k
CPU Cooler: NZXT X62
MB: Z97-P
Power Supply: EVGA 750W G2

So I start off by setting my "CPU voltage" to 1.230 in my BIOS with "adaptive mode".
When I open "CPU-Z", it says my voltage is 1.270, and sometimes it goes to 1.318.

Right now I have it set to "manual" so it just keeps using 1.230 voltage even tho I'm on the desktop.
That's why I would like to go to "adaptive mode", but can't since it just uses more voltage

I don't know why "adaptive mode" makes my voltage go to 1.270 when I set it to adaptive mode.

Please Help...

As Evvvvv says LLC is key here. Set your LLC to its mid setting and see how close you get then lower or increase to get the voltage where you want it. On mine which is a Gigabyte motherboard, I have Auto, medium, High, Turbo and Extreme... Other motherboards manufactures might have a different setting like 1 to 12...

You need to set the accuracy of it. Load Line Calibration to a higher setting.
