Upgraded my 6500 to 7700k on my H170 Plus. System lights up but I get nothing on the display. Did not know that I needed to flash the BIOS. So i put back the old cpu and flashed the BIOS as per ASUS website. Now I have the recommended BIOS but still dont recognize the 7700k. I get nothing on the display. No beeps or restarts... all fans running.... Could I have damaged the cpu without prior bios update?
Old cpu is working fine, so no bent pins or other hardware problem.
