I'm going to be buying a new system in the next month but I'm on a tight budget and so I will be going for a reasonably wallet-friendly build. I have decided on everything except for the CPU. My choices are the Ryzen 3 2200G and the Ryzen 5 1500X. I'm going for a lower end CPU on a socket that AMD claim will last a while so that I can upgrade it when I need more power. The 1500X is obviously the better CPU and since I have my own GPU I have no need for the iGPU in the 2200G. My problem is that the 1500X is over £40 more expensive than the 2200G. Is it worth the extra money or should I just stick with the cheaper CPU? The specs that I have planned are shown below.
CPU: R3 2200G or R5 1500X
CPU Cooler: The stock wraith cooler that comes with both.
MOBO: Asus Prime B350M-A
RAM: 16GB DDR4 3000MHz
Storage: WD Black 250GB NVMe as well as a few old mechanical drives I have.
GPU: Sapphire R9 380 4GB Nitro
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
