So living in an apartment has its drawbacks. I've enough room for a desk to hold my acer predator x34 monitor but not my tower also.
I was gonna fix a shelf to the wall for it, but was too afraid of it eventually coming down on top of me.
So... My other option is to put it in another corner of my room. Roughly 8ft away from my monitor, keyboard and mouse.

My question is, can anyone help with this setup and how I would be best routing the wires? I'm thinking of a 10ft display port cable for the monitor and a USB extension for the keyboard. My keyboard has pass through so mouse can run off it. The other thing I'm not sure of is a power supply lead as the plug socket is closer to the desk.

Any tips on this would be much appreciated. I'd like to prevent as much input lag as possible also.

Thanks guys.

I had a similar issue with my daughters PC, she also has very little room. What I did was replace the computer desk with an "IVAR" shelf unit from Ikea.

https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/storage-furniture/shelving-units-systems/ivar-shelving-unit-pine-spr-89006796/

Since the shelves can be moved up or down in 2" steps, it is very flexible; and since it is modular, you can add more sections if required.

I added a 50x42x124cm section on the right-hand side, to house the PC and printer, leaving the main shelf for the screen, kb etc, with a shelf for her racing wheel pedals below, and shelves for books and toys above.

if 50cm is too deep, they also do them in 30cm depth.
