I am getting so mad with this i am just going to go with AMD. Everytime a new update for Nvidia Drivers or GeForce comes out and i go to download it, it fails 100% of the time and has been doing this on 3 of my computers all of which have Nvidia Graphic cards from one with a 750Ti, 980Ti, and 1080Ti and all the same. I have used Display Driver Uninstaller or "DDU" for short and used it in safe mode and deleted all possible drivers and also still look through files manually in case it missed any than i download the drivers from Nvidia and i have a 20% chance of it working after about 10-15 tries od using DDU and installing drivers. BUt ever since this new update it will not work even after doing it 40+times :( And yes, i have did a FRESH install of Windows 10 and it does not help with a single thing. As of now every NVIDIA GPU is trash :(. I contacted NVIDIA and all they do is tell me to download the drivers from their site..........wow what a genius plan!

Please someone help. I really dont want to have to be stuck to sell all 3 of my cards :(

Have you tried removing the card and doing a clean boot without the card installed like mentioned in my previous post? This was how I was able to get the card recognized. The trick is to having at least one normal boot up without the card installed so that windows installs the generic display driver. After it sees that, a re-installation of the GPU will work (although it might take a few tries). These issues are usually because the bios is not detecting the nvidia cards properly so the driver install doesn't see the card you are trying to install for, resulting in a failed install. Sometimes Bios updates fix the issue, but this method also seems to work in some cases.

It downloads perfectly. But when it installs the green bar goes to like 5% and stops than nvidia says it fails on all things installing. I used to have an R9-290X and not had a single problem with drivers so im not used to this kinda stuff it just sucks especially where i got a new 1080Ti and its pretty much trash atm.

have you tried updating the driver from inside device manager, and pointing to the downloaded inf?
Another thing to try is to remove the GPU, boot into safe mode and uninstall all nvidia (again), then boot the PC without a gpu. Then turn it off, re-install the GPU, restart and try the driver install again.

You could also try a program like revo uninstaller (free trial will do what you need) to find any remnants and remove them. I know you re-installed windows, but it's worth a shot.
FWIW, I've been using Nvidia for years and haven't had an issue other than initial recognition of a new card install.

Other possible fixes:
Make sure on-board graphics chipset is deactivated and BIOS is set to use current discrete video card as main.
Make sure your motherboard BIOS is running the latest firmware.
Hard Drive is not too full. There were many cases when NIVIDA setup could not extract the packet into the Temp folder because the target drive was full.
Antivirus program or Firewall should not give any issue but it’s worth some attention. Disable it temporarily just in case.
Try your video card on a different PCIe slot to see whether the same issue occurs.
Run a quick file system check using the command sfc /scannow to make sure the Windows core has not been altered or violated.

Yes in device manager my 750ti, 980ti, and 1080ti all show up as "Windows Display Adapter" after i try to download the new drivers. I never had problem out of NVIDIA until the last 4 months.
On board is disabled.
I did a BIOS flash a long time ago and it is up to date.
I have 80GB free on my 960 EVO M.2 and got 300GB free on my WD 1TB HDD.
I uninstalled all virus and malware protection and even disabled windows defender and any form of it.
I have tried it on other PCIe slots and even different computers
I did sfc /scannow and it said all is ok.

Here are some of my programs.
Avast
Malwarebytes
CCleaner
SpeedFan
GPU-Z
MSI Afterburner

I have more programs but they are like games, photoshop, and such.

from one with a 750Ti, 980Ti, and 1080Ti

you have 3 different series cards installed in the same system?
you have three separate systems, each using a different series "Ti", and all suffering from the same issue?
or you have tried all three cards in the same system, 1 at a time, and the same issue arises?

and you need to rephrase your issue. you have successfully "DOWNLOADED" the drivers, that is not your issue. your issue is that you cannot "INSTALL" the drivers that have already been successfully downloaded.
