High Temps with AMD Prism?

Hey Guys,
I recently made the upgrade to a 2700X, primarily to stream and render better. I've seen many videos and articles showcasing that the stock cooler, as a matter of fact, was perfectly capable of cooling the processor, even under a heavy workload. The numbers presented derive their max from me attempting to record War Thunder with OBS using the x264 encoder. https://gyazo.com/5c8e8f3dbd837ef532448fc8d02ff2df Needless to say, these numbers are out of my comfort zone. What is also concerning is the fact that, even with a house ambient of 20 C, my CPU seems to be idling at above 50 C. I do not have any overclocks applied. The only thing I can think of is either A. I need to replace the thermal compound (I used the preapplied stuff), or B. I need to reset the cooler. Should I be getting these temps, or is there something blatantly wrong with these results?
Thanks,
Noah

Do not/did not some of the X-model variants use +20C offset on reported temps to keep the fan curves a little ahead of rising temps? (If that's the case, your 50C might really only be 30C...more inline with what one would expect with a a cpu idling at 800 MHz or so...)

I also got my AMD Prism, with temps going from 30-70 degrees. When browsing internet and such stuff ( a lot of tabs ) I am around 40 degrees. Around 50 degrees when I play video games.

It isnt any dangerous temperatures, so I wouldn't worry - unless it's 60-70++ all the time.
Keep in mind that it's a stock cooler - not the best, but I like it. It looks beautiful, performs ok.
