Recommend a good Modem/Router combo for about $100 USD

Hello, I would like recommendations for a good router modem combo for about $100, looking for best connectivity and at least 2 Ethernet ports. Currently on Comcast XFinity cable, and my current Netgear C3000+N300 combo has a broken ethernet port after a power surge (it broke one of the gigabit ethernet ports on my PC as well) that I cannot use wired connection and the phone at the same time, as our phone is through the internet. Thanks

I don't recommend any combo units. Why? Because you may not be able to reuse them if you change locations or ISPs. Get a separate modem from the approved list on your ISP's support site. Then you can use ANY router. The used RT-AC68U routers on E-Bay are available for about $60 if you are patient. I am using two of them as access points right now. Even cheaper, but still very good is the RT-N56U or RT-N65U routers.

Modem/router combos are OK. It reduces cabling complexity and probably consumes less power than two units. But it would be better with separate devices thus you could have access to more specialized features.
