Will my athlon x4 II 620 bottleneck my gtx 770

I can get my old prebuild dell pc from my dad, as second pc in my room, i am gonna be upgrading the power supply so my old gtx 770 that i am gonna be putting in has enough power, i was wondering if my athlon is gonna be a major bottleneck for my gtx 770 cuz i read it was a bottleneck for the gtx 780, if its only a few 5-10 fps its fine for me

Probably but if the 770 is just collecting dust then there's really no reason not to use it. If the motherboard is decent and you get a budget aftermarket cooler you could probably overclock the 620 a bit and reduce any performance issues.

It will surley be bottlenecked and by that probably a LOT.

Do you have any idea what cheap cpu is good and will not bottleneck it, i am not looking 2 buy a second overkill pc like my first one

Yea so your going to be at stock speeds as you really won't get much of a OC, just toss it in, download a few F2P games off Steam (World of Warships, Tera, America's Army: Proving Grounds, etc) and try it out. If those games are playable at 1080P or less then it would be a ok 2nd computer when friends/family come over and game.

You may be able to find a cheap X4 965 which should work in that motherboard (double check compatibility). A friend of mine has a 965 and R9 290 and can game quite well at 1080P around 45-50 FPS on newer titles.

Fortnite may be a bit of a stretch but you could always try it with the 620 first then consider a better CPU, just remember though that those CPU's are quite dated and I wouldn't spend much, like less then $40 for a 965 or X6 10XX CPU.

If you do require the upgrade then check to see what your motherboard can support, your 620 is a 95W CPU and if that is the max it will support then your best option is the X6 1075T. If it supports up to 125W then I would go with a quad core with a higher clock speed such as the X4 980.
