Hey, so i just built my pc a month ago, and i have these 120ssd and 1 tb hdd

I've installed all app that i need (what i think its better on ssd of course)

And now i left with 14gb on ssd left
I know i put a lot of app there, but all app there are what i used everyday.

Here's the list on ssd
- Premiere CC 2018
- AE CC 2018
- AI CC
- Photoshop CC
- Autodesk Maya
- Zbrush modeling
- 3Ds max
- Office 2016

Now the question is, should i move some of that app to my HD

(i kinda confused about what program that are better on SSD)

or i should just buy another ssd ??

TIA

Solution
Applications, no. Leave them on the SSD.
Applications don't really take up that much space. Even something large like Office...with ALL the extras, that is only maybe 3GB.

However...some of the addons and plugins for your applications. Those might be space suckers.

The data you create...that is what consumes your space.
Have those applications save to the HDD instead of the SSD.

Also, other space suckers:
System Restore points
pagefile size.
hibernation. Turn that OFF.

But...in 2018...I would NOT have recommended a 120GB SSD. That is really too small and not cost effective.

It depends how often you use the programme. If you heavily use all of them, upgrade your current SSD storage, if not, just move the less frequently used ones over to the HDD. I would recommend at least a 250gb SSD, as these tend to be the pricing sweet-spot where you get a fairly good value and great access speeds (write/read).

I dunno how to reply lol

@usarret yeah that plugin and other staff .. Took so much spaxe just realize that

About that system restore and hiber im setting that off later, thanks

@henryjamesguest yeah i used it for daily, im going to buy another ssd then maybe 120/250 ? The first one is going to be os for sure

so should i split my app to 120 120 or just 120 os and 240 app ?

The OS won't take up anywhere near 120gb. Just use the SSD space you have as efficiently as possible so you can get as many important programs on it as possible. I would definitely recommend a 250gb SSD.
