how do i find my ram speed

Hey im posting this for a friend he has gotten 2 4gb ddr4 sticks. he is wanting to upgrade but doesn't know the speeds could someone please help us find out how to find the speed of his ram thanks

Are you looking at DRAM frequency? It should be stable, but withing very small fluctuations take the highest value and multiply by 2.

If he does the next he will know what ram he has in his pc,

download hwinfo,
install and open it=click run,
close the top window which is the system summary,
in the main window at the left top click "save report",
at the bottom of the next window check "short text report",
after that you'll see what's in the pc,

Regarding cpu-z look at the spd tab for most info about the ram,this might even give the partnr which can be googled,,the memory tab will only show current speed.
