Hi I'm new here i was using my laptop and accidentally touched one of my usb ports can esd be transferred from your body to the usb port/motherboard by touching port with your finger and cause damage?

The diodes must prevent ESD discharge to the port. Why do you ask this question, do you have a problem with the USB port?

not at this time i do not i was just making sure that it did not damage something in my laptop i am no expert at this stuff! lol

Don't worry about it, the USB port inputs are protected by diodes and the USB chip itself.
