Macbook Pro: More Ram or More CPU power

Hello I am deciding to get a 13 inch Macbook pro for school next year and in the configuration screen I am decied weather to get more ram of more clock speed. I will either get 3.1Ghz with 16GB of ram or 3.5Ghz with 8GB of ram. What should I choose. Thanks.

U would be using this for simply Ms office stuff?
Which cpu are those? Model number?

Look for turbo boost frequency and tell us.

3.1GHz dual-core i5 7th gen, Turbo up to 3.5GHz
vs
3.5 GHz dual-core i7 7th gen, Turbo up to 4.0GHz

If I am not wrong, u can upgrade ur ram to 16 gigs at a later date. I would suggest you go with the i7 model.
