Cleaned PC with compressed air now PC won't boot.
Asus sabertooth fx990 r2.0
Amd fx959
2x AMD Radeon 2133 MHz 8gb
Cooler master silent pro hold 1000w
Xfx r9 290 ebdb
Ocz vertex 2 120gb SSD (primary)
Wd 1 TB hhd (storage/games)
So when I first failed to boot I had realized I had the ram in improper channels (a1+a2) and had relocated them to a1 B1 also I had originally had my house in the 3rd pcie slot. After going through a bunch of forums I have checked all power switches cables and connectors. I have put everything back as it was in original build. My PSU passed the paperclip test and still nothing. When this first started heppening the green led on board would be lit when PSU kill switch was turned on but still nothing else would move or light up when I pressed power on both the chassis or the on board switch. I also tried resetting CMOS through 15 second battery removal and jumper clip relocation. Please help.

Do you see any of the on board POST state LEDs showing.

Can you check that you have correctly replaced the CLRTC jumper switch.

1. Turn off power and unplug from mains
2. Remove on board battery
3. move jumper switch to bridge pins 2 and 3
4. return jumper switch to now bridge pins 1 and 2 (normal mode)
5. Replace battery (correct polarity)
6. Power on and take note of any POST LED

If that does not help then you will need to seek professional help (or get new computer). Are you covered by your home contents insurance?

Not covered by insurance. Only led that light up is the standby power led which is green. I have tried resetting the cmos through those means. Has anyone had similar problems? The PC had been running for years and now all of the sudden the darn thing won't cut on.

Nothing happens when I hit or hold the memok switch. If I turn the PSU kill switch to the on position I get a green light from the standby power led. Other than that nothing happens, I press the power button and no lights even try to come on and no fans move. This PC was just fine 72 hours ago. I just don't understand.

Ok so the fact that you have standby LED on indicates that PSU might be ok.

Have you checked that the case cables connect to the motherboard in the right place.

If you are pushing the case power button and nothing is happening, either:
1> PSU is broken (probably not)
2> Switch on case is broken
3> switch on case not properly connected to motherboard
4> something else

Unfortunately this is not going to be an easy one

So I've began bench testing. I started with the mobo and gpu as the only components plugged in and properly seated with the proper power cables properly seated as well. This raises two questions. 1 can my power supply still be mounted to the chassis while I perform a bench test?
2 if nothing still cuts on after using the onboard directkey or bridging the power switch pins then is it the mobo or PSU?
