Interpretion of HD tune result

I am trying to short stroke my HDD to get some performance boost so I use HD Tune Pro to find the sweet spot. If i am not mistaken, the graph should be a curve instead of being this way. Is that my HDD was capped by some factors? I am quite sure that the disk usage is in low state before i run the test.

A few percent improvement in a HDD score on a benchmark is not going to translate into any signficant real world performance improvement unless you choose to leave the rest of that disk empty. Even then, why bother??? Save money and get an SSD. Then your seek time (which short stroking is trying to minimize) is zero ...
