need help! -- same specs but I get lower fps in games

I have the same exact pc build as this tech youtuber I watch who built it in one of his videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZgDb996cgQ

The only small difference is I opted for the Ballistix 8Gb single RAM stick instead of two 4Gb sticks he used in the video. So when comparing my fps in the same games + same graphics settings as in his benchmark at the end of the video, I was frustrated to find out I got substantially lower fps than he did. For example, Overwatch he is around 144 fps roughly and I get around 100 fps, in Rainbow 6 Siege he breaks 200 fps and my pc can never achieve that (it is around 160 fps roughly on mine) Any thoughts as to why ths is happening? Are my parts defective?

Edit: Forgot to mention I don't know whether he overclocked in his youtube video, but I was overclocking my cpu to 3.7 Ghz and my GPU to +110 Mhz Core +250 Mhz Memory.

Ok you cpu CB score is decent so no problem for the CPU part. You may try to do a separate benchmark for your gpu and check if it is as per the average result of 1060 6gb or not. If it is...

Single channel ram is really slow for ryzen due to infinity fabric design. Download MSI afterburner and turn on on screen display with riva tuner and check the cpu and gpu utilization. It seems due to slower cpu you gpu is not getting utilized more than 95% I guess. DO check this and reply. What is you CB R15 score? Post it also.

Hello, sorry for the late reply.

I have been using Afterburner + Rivatuner since the first day I built the pc, and I can confirm on Overwatch and Rainbow 6 siege, my GPU has in fact been hitting 99-100% full usage, while my cpu usage varies but is consistent with the youtuber's benchmark vid for the same games (although not certain if this is the case for each single core).

I just ran Cinebench R15 and got the following score

OpenGL test: 116.16 fps
CPU test: 1235 cb
CPU single test: 151 cb
MP Ratio 8.17x

Not sure what to make of it though

If it is similar in that case try to check some other youtube videos for the FPS. It is hard to tell what that guy has done to get his fps at what setting so don't get bias with a single video.
Only the single vs dual channel ram part. Ryzen is very much dependent on ram so if you upgrade with another stick it will improve but it is hard to tell that adding a ram stick will bridge the gap of that much fps.
