Specs:
gigabyte z170 hd3p motherboard
intel i7 7700k
16 gb ddr4 2133
kingdian 240 gb ssd
kingston hyperx 240 gb ssd (windows installed on this one)
WD 1 tb HDD
gigabyte Gtx 1070
My previous CPU was 6600k and the bios was F5 from gigabytes website.
I finished the build went to test it but my pc would restart after 10 seconds without pisting to either of my monitors (one is connected to my cpu, the other to the gpu). i then went to gigabytes site which stated that the F20 bios is the first to support gen 7 chips. i downloaded the bios to a flash drive which i then plugged into my pc but it still wouldnt post. My guess is that i need to use my old CPU, install the F20 bios and then try with the 7700k, is there anything else i can try before that? it should be noted that my keyboard also did not get powered on when turning on the pc.
