Need some help restoring desktop icons

So to summarize the issue:

I had to do some computer repairs and when I plugged the connectors back and started up my PC again, I noticed that one of my hard drives failed to register. The way I have my storage set up is I have two 1TB hard drives; one for my OS and general stuff and another for my video games. So the one for my video games was unplugged, I fixed it this morning, it was just a loose SATA connector. I guess I must've unplugged it from the hard drive when I was putting the side panel back on and didn't realize. But now all my desktop icons for my video games have changed to these ugly broken file icons, and I can't change them back to the way they were before.

Think anybody could help me out with that?

EDIT: I should probably go over a couple of the things I've tried:

-Going into my file directories and creating new shortcuts/copying and pasting the normal icons I want do not work. If I copy and paste a new shortcut of the game from its directory to the desktop, it defaults back to the same blank icon instead of the new one and so I can't do it that way.

-The 'Change Desktop Icons' tab in the Personalize menu does not work. In that tab, I get a choice between five different icons I can replace: My Computer, My User Files, My Network Icon, and both the full and empty Recycling Bin Icons. As these icons were saved on my other hard drive, they are still normal and so these options are of no use to me whatsoever.

I should also clarify that the games and software on my other hard drive are working perfectly fine now. I can access my Steam client, my games, etc.

It looks like this worked, thank you!

It was a pretty simple fix, but it involved manipulating some hidden files so I probably wouldn't have been able to figure this problem out had I not asked. But regardless, everything seems to be up and running for the moment. I will update this thread again if I continue to experience any related issues.
