I have a 5 month old system, specs as follows.
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (not overclocked)
MSI B350 Mortar Arctic
Gigabyte RX 580 Gaming 8GB
2x 8GB Corsair Vengeance RGB 3000MHz
Seasonic M12II 520W Power supply
1 Western Digital 120GB SSD
2 Seagate 1 TB Mechanical Drives
All is well for the first few months, I can run most games on high or ultra, great fps - no complains. But, recently I ran into a problem where If i run a game, the fps is far from what it used to be. The Witcher suddenly runs at 17 to 28 fps when it used to be 80 to 90 fps. Same with AC origins and Rainbow Six Siege. I thought the problem was with the Windows 1803 update, so I reverted back to 1709.
After rolling back to 1709, I used DDU and installed latest adrenalin driver (18.5.1). I ran the games again and all was back to normal, until I shut down my PC the other night, booted it in the morning and the problem is back again. By that time I thought maybe the driver update was the problem, so I downloaded 18.3.4 adrenalin from amd website, used DDU to cleanup 18.5.1 and installed older driver. All was fine again, UNTIL I SHUT DOWN MY PC, boot and try to run games again. It seems this happens every time I shutdown my PC. When I boot, GPU won't appear on msi afterburner, but dxdiag, device manager and GPU-z all recognize that the graphics card is there.
Do you have Ideas on what might be the problem here?
