Keyboard switch swapping

Hello, I was wondering if I can take one switch from my keyboard (for example the F12 switch) and swap it with my Escape switch since the stem on the Escape switch has broken off or will I just have the F12 and Escape key locations swapped?

It's a Gigabyte mechanical board with Kailh Red switches and RGB leds
