Currently it's locked at 3,8ghz with 1,2125 volt..

I have chaned the bios setting to O.C.P.T(?) or something for the right memory speed (3200mhz).

I am wondering if its needed to overclock my cpu, or if I should just leave it. I am using the stock cooler, and have it on turbo (max speed in bios). I have around 40-50 degrees celcius when im playing fortnite.

You need to read about the functionalities of your Motherboard before actually using them. Keep in mind you can still burn your CPU or other components if you are not careful.

That being said, just reset the BIOS.

Many reviewers have concluded there's not much point overclocking the 2700X, it's stock settings are fairly aggressive as is and there's not much to be gained. Also if everything is running well and it's stable why overclock? what are you going to gain outside of benchmark results?

I've been running an overclocked CPU for almost 3 years and recently reset it back to stock after an unexpected crash. Now that it's running at stock speeds I've noticed absolutely no difference in anything I do, in 3 years it has gained me exactly nothing. My new policy is to leave everything at stock settings unless I can find a need for more performance.

Well, I changed my ram to 3200mhz, as they are labeled to run.

Now I am just wondering if 2700x are worth it when I run it at 3,8ghz 1,2125volt, and it isnt changing. Before I changed anything in the bios the clockrate changed always, same with the voltage. Now it just stands still.

Is this good perfomance, or should I do something - that is really my question. I found out that with 1,2v my cpu cooler @full speed can cool good enough. Otherwise I feel my cpu are getting too hot. Up in the 70-s..

Tips, tricks, what to do? I am a newbie, with this awesome chip.. I dont know what I should do to get maximum perfomance with no risk and effort. I just want it to run at normal speed with good temperatures and good perfomance.

I really want to use the stock cooler. I am really just wondering how good and stable perfomance I would be able to achieve.
And if its worth going for more than 3,8 ghz, and if I should leave voltage where it is as I have good temps now.

Uhm... The 2700X, using XFR and PB2, is already using all its available headroom, to be honest. As long as you keep it cooled it will just boost itself to it's higher safe states.

This is to say, in my personal experience, just concentrate in the RAM tweaking and just set the XFR clock as high as you can (4.4Ghz is mine, works fine; you can leave it at default: 4.25Ghz?).

Cheers!

I turned on docp or what its called (automatically ram overclock). And I used easy tune wizard or something in the bios. Now my cpu are stuck @ 3,8 ghz 1,2125 v.

It doesent overclock itself. How to turn it on?
