Helloe everybody,
I have decided to build a pc with i7 8700 and gtx 1080ti.but I am vwry confused for the monitor . I am confused between these monitors of almost the same price:
-1440p 144hz ips 3ms gsync
-4k 60hz gsync
I will play all AAA titles and use my pc a hell out and i am also going to show off a lot
My total for the pc id $2250 including the monitor desk and all. For this i better see somethimg mind blowing and 1440p wont do the thing thats what troubles me . I really want to do 4k and people even do it with gtx 1080. Should I or shouldn't I?

Personally I think QHD and WQHD displays are in a better place at the moment. Better catering to 'gaming' needs. Sadly there just isn't a single GPU that can handle 4K with every game title at the highest settings.

I suppose it comes down to the games you play. Do you desire appearance over performance?

If you play a lot of 'sight seeing' games like MMOs or RPGs then 4K is probably suitable. If you play a lot of fast-paced shooters or sims then 3440x1440 or 2560x1440 make more sense.

I went for 1440p and never looked back.. I love it,
It depends more on pixel density tbh - what sizes are the monitors? Imo 1440p looks really good up to 27" and only go 4k if your getting a much bigger monitor. Plus higher refresh rate makes that 1440p one a steal...
