Downclocking/overclocking the GPU

Hi,

I have a Toshiba L750 laptop and it shuts down several times during the day. I went to a repair service and they told me that the graphic card is the problem, but they will not assume the risk of repairing it. Until I find a permanent solution, I would like to know:
- would a downclocking/overclocking software for GPU help?
- if so, can you recommend a software?
- is there another software solution that could prevent the shut down process?

Thank you,

Solution
You may be able to disable to discreet GPU in the BIOS for the laptop.

If it's truly the issue, disabling it outright is going to be a smoother process than trying to downclock/undervolt it.

The L750 shipped with a 2nd Gen i5, from what I can find - and no dedicated GPU.

The "GPU" in this scenario is on the CPU..... not something that can be undervolted/downclocked without also affecting the CPU's performance....... and not likely to fix anything anyway.

Actually, is a Toshiba Satellite L750-1MC with a dedicated GeForce GT 525M 2GB. Sorry for not being more clear.
