I was using a WD 1TB Black Edit. as a secondary HD on my Ryzen built. All of the sudden it stop working. Every time I try to access the drive the system ask me to format it. So I try to format it but windows can't format the drive. I try Disk Part but every time my "argument" was wrong. I thought that maybe the disk is bad and try with another WD Black edition (1TB0 with the same results. Didn't know if I have to post this on Hardware or Windows, so forgive me if I'm wrong(again). Could you help.
MB- MSI B350 Tomahawk
16GB DDR4 RAM

Solution
make sure computer is set on AHCI (hot swappable)
disconnect the hard disk with a problem (sata cable)
boot windows up
plug in the faulty had disk, see what happens.

Install hard disk sentinel
try a Low Level Format software on the drive

Search the forum for a great guide on how to sort out the WD hard disk problem, about 4-5 days ago

I notice something today. The system won't format the WD hdd so I can use it. Now I try to format an SD card and it didn't format it either. I think, some how, is the OS fault. What do you think?
