Asrock Z370 Pro4 with 2 VGA monitors

This MB has 1 D-sub port and 1 DVI port. I want to plug a monitor into each port. Will be running under Windows 10.

Will this work? Or must I buy a VGA card? Graphics quality is not an issue - 2 monitors is!

Yes, you can plug 2 monitors (even 3 actually). Note however that DVI port is of DVI-D type, so it will not work with VGA monitor unless you use active DVI to VGA adapter.

The DVI port is DVI-D so you will need an active DVI-D to VGA adapter. Don't get a cheap passive adapter it will not work.

To follow-up... The monitors have DVI and VGA ports. I currently use a DVI-DVI cable (old system) from the MB to the monitor. Without adapter!

DVI-D adapters seem to have VGA on one end. I don't need that.

Will a straight DVI-DVI cable work on the ASrock motherboard?
