GTX 970 MSI: Fans don't spin even though my gpu temp reach 90+ celsius...

So I try to play any game that demands a bit from gpu and the temperature starts to go up. I have set my fans spin at 70% at 40C and 100 at 60 (i'm not bothered by the noise). But I look into the pc and at the GPU when the temp is above 90 and nothing happens. A few hours ago one of them were spinning, so it kept it around 85, but still, shouldn't both be spinning at that point? What can be the problem. My pc is shutting down many times during my online games, and it's very annoying. Does anyone know what the problem can be? Me at this point think it's something with the card, and not any settings, but I may be wrong.
Help me...

Thanks!

There is an feature on the card where the fans turn off when cool and fans turn on when its high something like that but if its shutting down your desktop wondering whats wrong. I would try contact your warranty and see if you can get it replace or with this feature could you turn it off and make the fan spin all the time! Try this thread and read some comments and what bignastyid said about the drivers also what PSU are you using!

I have read on the internet that its from GTX 980 and above you can turn the fans off and on manually. So I think that option is actually not an option. I only had a 2 years warranty I believe, and my comp is 3 and a half year now (something around that), so that is also a no go. As mentioned, one of the fans span just a few hours ago.. before i went out. Now that i have turned it back on again and trying to play it wont kick in. It seems it spins at random sometimes. I'm absolutely clueless on what to do :\

Just saw your edit, gonna check out the thread. (btw) Thank you anyway for your attempt at helping me

Have you checked your GPU to see if there any dust trapped in fans and such!

I am 100% sure the gpu fans dont have any dust in them. I vacuum cleaned it a few days ago. There is nothing

After uninstalling drivers with the software u recommended one fan is currently running. Starting a game of fortnite now, since that game is usually the on crashing my pc. If the other dont kick it, i will try and push the other fan and see if it starts.

Was on my way to screw out the screws when i noticed 2nd fan started to work. hell yeaah :D !
