I've been looking through threads on this forum and I still haven't found the solution to fixing my ports.

So about a month or so ago I came home turned my computer on and it gave me error message USB Overcharge pc will shut down in 15 seconds, so I waited it did not shut down after 15 seconds.so i had to manually shut it down with the power button. It gave me the messaged a couple times when i tried powering it on without any usb connected, and suddenly it booted into windows again. but none of my usb ports were working. I know that the ports have somewhat power in them, but they're not giving any signal.

I've tried:¨
- resetting cmos
- connecting a ps/2 keyboard which worked hurray / ps2 to usb connector did not work but did give power to usb device
- reinstalling windows
- reinstalling drivers
- connecting additonal usb ports from jusb2 port on motherboard (power, but no signal)
- removing gpu
- removing sata connections
a couple of times

Any suggestions?

You've done alot to try troubleshoot this, I congratulate you.

I honestly can't think of what else could be a problem. I'd say that you have faulty ports on the motherboard that need replacing. I'm not sure if you can replace USB ports on a motherboard, but if you can't, then you might have to buy a whole new motherboard.

Hope this helped!
