Connected but not in use HDD at 50-60C temps

I just booted up my new build and for some reason my not in use(everything is on the ssd so far) hdd is sitting at 57C temps currently. I mounted the CPU radiator below it and next to it above is an exhaust fan. I have no other place to put it where it can get direct air flow. What should I do?

Hello Enferlain, if you have a Seagate HDD, normal operating temps range from 5 to 50 degrees Celsius and newer drives can go higher. Run Seatools independently of what drive brand you have. It will give you its overall health. If all is OK then the layout is affecting the drive and needs to be moved.

Hey, thanks for the quick response and suggestion. I do have a Seagate Firecuda, so I'll try running that tool to see if everything is okay. I don't really know where else I could place it though.

Actually, the readings were wrong. It's my ssd that was 50-60, the hdd is sitting at around 36c. So everything is fine. Thank you for the help either way.
