How well can i overclock my ryzen 7 2700 (no x) with a stock cooler

It will do OK up to 4.1GHz, higher than that it will be unstable without proper cooling.
I installed a 7 2700 in a friends PC and even though he got a Corsair H100i, I installed the stock cooler first.
It worked very well until I try to go beyond 41.
After installing the Corsair it was running just fine with 43 multiplier.
