High End PC Frame Drops

I recently bought a new gaming PC.

Since I bought it I have been extremely frustrated over the fact that I will have 120fps, then suddenly my frames will go down to 30fps, and stay there. This usually happens on games like Fortnite.

I have tried pratically everything and I am losing hope.
I would be annoyed to have wasted around 3K.

I have a link to the PC and it's specs here: https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Scorptec-Systems/Gaming-PC/71254-SS-Elite1080-2

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
Your going to have to run CPU and GPU monitoring software while you are under load to see if thermals are the issue. I like Realtemp for CPU and MSI Afterburner for GPU.
I think your cpu is overheating. Make sure your cooler works properly, is properly installed and the pump is working. Touch the two tubings of the cooler, one should be hot, the other should be cooler. You should be able to hear the pump working too.

Cooler is installed properly, however the two tubings both seem room temp and I can hear the pump working
