Pc won't boot up

Hello everyone..

Today i bought a new psu for my PC. The Corsair vs 450. so i saw some videos on YouTube about how to properly install a psu and then i insalled it but the Problem is that the pc wont boot.

All the fans are tworking..even the lights on the motherboard are on but there is no power on the usb ports and the pc wont boot up
I am really desperate please help!!!!

Here are the specs
Motherboard- MSI 970 gaming motherboard
Processor- fx 4300
Ram-4gb Corsair
Graphics card - gt 710 (1050ti on the way)..
Any help appreciated

Edit- just tried using older psu....same prooblem.

what gdmaclew said. There are two power source going the m/b (JPWR2, 8 pins located next to USB back ports and the JPWR1, 24 pins connector). And Graphic card power.
Does it boot into BIOS?

No i doesn't show the bios sign and i am sure i connected both the 8 pin and 24 pin cables

I'm not surprised that the single stick of RAM doesn't work in slot number 2.
Most motherboard manuals explicitly state which slot to use with a single stick of RAM.
Your manual doesn't. It only shows 2 or 4 sticks.
But you can be sure that if 2 sticks use slots 1 and 3, that 1 stick should use slot 1.

Ummm...can you explain in other words? Are you saying that my ram slots are perfectly fine?
