I bought a new 1 TB WD blue hard drive for my pc, and everytime it turns off it makes a high pitched very short "screech"
The drive isnt being used by anything so it turns off and makes the screech, with sounds of the disk slowing down. Im wondering is there a braking mechanism in hdd's or is something wrong?
