Has anyone had similar experiences or knows what could be the problem. So I have 3 SSDs and one normal HDD. Lately my machine started to have problems booting up, randomly entering the BIOS instead of starting up Windows 10. One day, while in a game, the game crashed and I realized its SSD had disappeared completely from the system (the reason for the crash). After 2 reboots the SSD was back and since I started looking for it I realized that also my system SSD where Windows is installed sometimes disappears (that's when I get thrown into the BIOS since it can't find a bootable drive).

So to sum it up: Multiple SSDs randomly disappear, starting with the system drive but now apparently also other SSDs. I already ran a health check (bad sectors etc.) but everything seems perfect. Now my suspicion is that something on the motherboard level is wrong (maybe the storage controller or something similar (since it's very unlikely that multiple drives (of different age) start failing at the same time without any signs of failure on the disk's part.

Has anyone a better idea, before I try flashing the newest BIOS or eventually get a new mainboard?

Happened to me lately, one SATA cable had a loose connector in a SSD. Had to replace the cable.

Similar, my son's PC's cable also had a wiggle but with the power connectors.

And maybe leave the HDD alone by itself (with a CD/DVD) on a cable and SSD's on other cables.

Good luck!
