hi, i have a asus router working with 1 of 2.4 and 2 of 5ghz and have the tri smart option, that combine all on one and the router choose with one should go to each line, should i use it ?, the model is rt 3200
It depends on the devices connected to it. But I believe there aren't many devices that will automatically switch bands based on router band steering. If you have dual band devices that will swap to the 5Ghz band, then give it a try. You can always turn it off and make sure the SSIDs are unique between 2.4 and 5 Ghz.

i enabled it, bbut there isnt option for move a mac to 5ghz forever? .-.
No. Both bands will have one SSID and the router & device will determine if they can move to the 5Ghz band. If you want specific devices on 5Ghz then you need to turn off the option and different SSIDs for the two bands.
