My S9 goes for a day or two without charging and it is pretty fast. But, it depends on usage. I can go days without checking my phone, and often pick it up to read NYT or WSJ every 3 or 4 hours or so. Even if I watched videos heavily, it should still last a day and a half at least.

For backup, I backup onto google drive or use the Samsung account backup that comes with it.

IMO OnePlus have some great phones, in particular the OnePlus 5T.
