INTEL ETHERNET CONNECTION (7) I219-V ADAPTER Cannot start (Code 10).

I recently upgraded my motherboard, cpu, and ram on my computer to a MSI B360 Gaming Plus Motherboard and the cpu to an I7 8700k coffee lake, I dont have a dvd player so I had to download the drivers for the motherboard thru their site which all work except the ethernet connection I219-V. I have downloaded old and newer drivers and none seem to get it to work. In its properties is says "This device cannot start. (Code 10). I checked the network cable its fine, I tried uninstalling the network adapter, disabling it and re-enabling it. I've tried reinstalling windows, reupdating the bios, reupdating the chipset drivers. I've turned it off and unplugged the power cable and let it sit for 25 mins or so and still no luck. Any help would be great thanks.

While I usually try the motherboard company's drivers first, have you tried the driver straight from the Intel site? That code is typically for bad or corrupted drivers, so it's worth trying another source, even if not ideal. If you still have a problem, I'd probably return the board (you ought to consider a Z motherboard with an unlocked CPU anyway).

Oh okay I didnt know Z motherboards would better, I was just going for a cheaper one. But if it actually affects it, I will get a better one.

Hi...Do you solve the problem? I have the same situation, and almost the same motherboard and cpu.

Z motherboards are just better because let tou overclock the cpu ( only cpu's K can do it), and your motherboard (I have the same, just the mortar titanium version) doesn't have that feature, so you have a powerfull cpu (like me) but you aren't getting all that power.
