don't know how much importance you place on streaming but id prefer a older CPU if you can afford a better card like a 1070 or 1070ti.
e.g. i ran a 6600k with a 1080ti (only recently updated to a 8700k).

go cheap 2nd hand if you have to. Put the $$$ in the GPU.

Consider 8400. you dont need to overclock and can save on mobo cost.

No.
The main difference with a better CPU over the 6600 is higher frame rates at a high frame rate. My goal is fluent 60fps with no drops below at peak intensive times.
A good GPU with a slower CPU will get you better results than the best CPU with a mediocre GPU.

I think hardware unboxed did a video in the past 6 months about bottle necking. Heck id take a 4 series intel with a 1080ti over a 8700k with a 1060.

This is what I have build so far:

CPU: i5 8400
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB
MB: H310M S2V
RAM: 8GB DDR4
PSU: SeaSonic M12II EVO 520W
HDD: WD BLUE 1TB

Total of €830

Just whatever you can do to get the best GPU you can afford. not sure how much 2nd hand 1070s are going for.
youve got a good PSU, it can handle all.

You also want to consider a ~250gb SSD for o/s (and a game or two). Crucial Mx500 is good perf/value

@fredfinks I can replace the 1060 with a 1070Ti which would bring the total price to €960
Woud a 1070 Ti + i5 8400 be an optimal choice? If I keep it at GTX 1070 the total price would be cheaper with €900. Should I stay at a 1070 ?
