So as I play a game ARK survival Evolved which is a very intensive game, uses a lot of my computer's resources. However, the game keeps freezing while I play. I look at task manager under performance and connect the freezing to 0% GPU load

I believe it has to do with the copy module as when that dips shortly after the 3D goes to 0%.
any help would be greatly appreciated
I did some research and found that it may have to do with the power supply. My power supply is under warranty thankfully and is just wondering other people's opinions.

I think that you are correct that the problem is your power supply. The MSI - Radeon RX 480 8GB GAMING X Video Card has a system requirement of 500 Watts. The Corsair CX500 barely meets this requirement.

That I believe is the problem. At times of low power demand, the power is adequate. But at times of greater demand the power becomes inadequate for the graphics card to function.

Further the Corsair CX series of power supplies are known to be poor quality. So it entirely possible that the actual power output is less than stated. My recommendation is to first switch out the power supply of 600 Watts if possible (to determine if the PSU is the problem for sure).

Then i would recommend a quality power supply 600 - 700 watt (Seasonic or EVGA).
