Ok, so in lamest terms I'm what you call and broke gamer...

With that being said. I aquired an x99 motherboard a couple of years ago for free. My brother bought it, bent some pins and Asus sent him a new one and he ended up gifting me the broken motherboard I held on to it for a couple of years because I didn't want to pay 500 bucks for a cpu that may or may not work on this mobo I finally decided to give it a shot and I purchased an i7 5820k so I bent back the pins(broke a couple of them) and gave it a shot...it works! It posts and overclocks just fine. Now my question is regarding the ram. I bought 2 sticks of 16gb Triden Z rgb 3200 cas 16 not knowing that this board works bestwith 4+ sticks of ram. Which brings me back to "I'm a broke gamer" I cant afford 4 sticks of 8gb ram. I barley had enough to pay the $220 for the 2 sick of ram lol My main question is. Will I really be missing that much performance with 2 sticks as opposed to 4 sticks and if I decide to save up for additional sticks down the road will it be completely incomapatible since they are not matched sticks? I'm using this pc for gaming and video watching. Also. What slots should I put them in? The manual says in dimm B1 and D1 but right now I have them in A1 and B1 and they seem to work fine.

Intel core i7 5820k
Asus x99 Deluxe U3.1
Nvidia GTX 1070FE
Corsair CX750m
2x8 Trident Z RGB 3200 CAS 16

Any Advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You wont be...

You wont be missing a thing.
I have yet to see the performance differences between quad and dual channel on real world usage..it looks like the performance is only available on paper.
I usually place the RAM where the motherboard manual says for best performance, but if it is working just fine in dual channel at the right speed then don't mess with it.
