So i bought a used (Like new) evga 1060 6g SSC about few weeks ago from amazon warehouse for around £260. The physical condition looks good except at the back some sections are a bit darker than it's normal colour (not exactly like burned but similar). Im fearing if this was used for mining?. Games (ac-origins, mad max) works just fine however, if i try to use msi afterburner it gives me BSOD. i figured it was the card as i had every driver updated and works fine without the gpu.
Now i see this palit gpu around £250 and its new. I'm wondering should i buy this one and return the other one as it may have a longer life span because it's new? Or will i be okay and safe with the used evga. (Evga ssc vs Palit dual)
Please let me know what you guys think? Thanks

We don't have Palit in the US so I cant talk about quality. I'm not sure if EVGA will replace it since its second hand but it might be worth a try to email customer support and ask, cant hurt.

Just looking around online a bit people tend to say Palit makes a pretty good card, so I think in your case if that's what you choose I don't think you will have an issue. I'd rather have a slightly less quality new card then a used card that I may not get warrantied on that shows signs of physical damage and can cause BSOD with a simple program like Afterburner.
The fact it has discoloration and you cant run Afterburner is concerning. Id rather take new over used any day, especially with graphics card these days. You could try and contact EVGA warranty and see if they will replace/repair the card. If they wont return it and get the new Palit is my vote.

EVGA typically has excellent customer support.

I bought it from amazon warehouse and it's used. I'm not sure if evga will have any warranty on this. Even if they do, they may replace it with another used card but what i read recently is, it's not safe to buy used graphic cards right now. That's what concerns me. Amazon however will accept my return, but I'm not sure if this version of Palit's card any good?
