so i have a problem...my system uses only around 40-50% of my cpu and only around 30-40% of my gpu....i play overwatch on all low settings and i get around 200fps....but i see people with lower specs getting even more fps than me...why is that?
my specs are:
Ryzen 5 1600 OC@3.9Ghz
Gtx 1080 no OC
8gb 2400mhz ram
Asrock AB350 Pro4 motherboard
Acer 1080p 144hz monitor
i think that this system should be getting well over 200fps without any dips....but for some reason i dont get those kind of results....at first i thought it was my cpu bottlenecking my gpu but when i saw the usage of my components and i didnt know what to think...and this has been going on for some time now...i have changed some settings in nvidia control panel for my gpu to work at max performance but it didnt change a lot of things....and im also running dual monitors and playing in windowed borderless mode...if anybody has any idea what this could be i would be very happy and thankful....thank you in advance for reading/answering!!!

Why oh why are you running 200fps when your screen can only handle 144hz?? Those fps figures are just willy waving.

Up the game detail levels until the cpu and gfx are running ~80% and the fps are a better match for the screen, then enjoy the improved visuals.

You dont know what stupidly low gfx settings they are running to get that figure, and how do you know the figure is correct??

Free improvements would be shutting down all non essential programs running in the background, AV, win update, Win index/Search, cleaning out all the unneeded items from the auto start list, like MSO and printer monitoring programs.

There used to be people out there who did stripped out versions of XP, Win7 etc, to get rid of all the unneeded bloat and speed them up; not sure if they ever got around to Win8 or 10, but you could go look. I still use one of their Win7 versions on an old netbook that is a complete slug otherwise.

You dont spec SSD or HDD, but obviously SSD will be marginally faster in game at loading textures and other data

Other options are more Ram and switching off the pagefile, both will make a small improvement, as would the new 2000 series Ryzen chips.

well i've googled a lot for all the pros settings and the streamer settings in overwatch and i've seen them running the same settings as me with one of the streamers having a gtx 1070...but it looks as though i cant do anything about it.and yes i have an ssd and the game is stored on it.
