I own a Asus G551JW-DS71 from past 3 years and it's battery is not performing well from past 5-6 months. I recently updated it to Windows 10 1803. From that moment , it doesn't stay on when AC adapter plugged in. I tried formatting my laptop but it won't stay on when plugged in during the boot process. I charged it and then started installing Windows 10 1803 download from media creation tool. It doesn't powersoff when installing Windows but powersoff when rebooting during the installation process and won't stay on even during the first boot setup. I tried running laptop on power without battery and also recalibrating and draining residual power steps too. Can anyone help me to know what is the issue with the laptop?

Sounds like you may have a dual problem. One the battery needs replacing, and two the charger may be going bad as well. When they go bad they can't put out enough power to do certain things, like charge a battery and run a device or try charging a device while starting up, etc. So I would start with the battery replacement and then, should the problem continue, then replace the charger.
