Disable DHCP on Access Point Unable To Physically Reach

Set-up Router As AP and it is up and running. Problem is that it seems DHCP was left on in the Router so incorrect gateway info is being handed out when AP is connected.

Tracked down the MAC address of said AP and went to router and looked up the IP address but when try to ping or connect to AP from browser it is unreachable/error page.

Short of physically removing the AP and hardwiring it to my computer, what options do I have to be able to access the interface and disable DHCP?

The router is mounted roughly 60 feet in the cieling of a warehouse....

Would it work if I removed the Cat6 cable that runs from switch to router from the switch, and hardwired into computer? That way I have a physical link to the router?

By being directly connected, that DHCP server your PC should allow you to connect to the gateway. Really for a device that is impractical to access, you should upgrade to a dedicated AP like a ubiquiti that is more suitable to remote admin.
