case fans won't spin

Nah, these only have the bigger 4 pin connectors. They are the old version of the antec tricool fan.
my mobo is an old asus p5k-e and has a few small 3 pin fan connectors for case fans
A couple things I should mention
The line of power is good, because I have a DVDR drive running off of the same line from the PSU
There are 4 plugs on the line from the PSU as i mentioned in the OP, i have both fans and the DVDR spread out on different plugs, not piggybacked. You can stack those big 4 prong plugs with these fans but i try to spread them out
