Running two sticks of the same ram but one is a higher advertised clock speed?

Hello!!
So, I've had my PC for a while (just over a year now) and I've been wanting to upgrade the RAM to be up to speed with the rest of the PC. However, I can't seem to find the exact stick of memory I have anymore (Corsair vengeance DDR4 1x8gb 2133MHz) and I really would like to upgrade to 16gb. Would a 2400MHz 8gb stick work with the existing stick? Would appreciate replies ASAP!!
Thanks! PC full specs listed below:
CPU: i7 7700 with a cooler master hyper TX3 Evo
GPU: MSI GTX 1080Ti gaming x trio
Motherboard: Asus ROG strix Z270f
Storage: 2TB Seagate hybrid drive
Case: Corsair Spec-03

I think they would work and the 8GB 2400ghz one will just slow down to 2133mhz and you could change your setting in bios and change the ram speeds to 2133mhz that if you can, It should work anyway unless you got extra cash and get two 8gb sticks at 2400 and sell the 8gb one!

From google

You can use memory modules of different speeds as long as they are faster than those specified for your computer. It is recommended to use modules of the same speed as those already installed in your system. If you do mix speeds, the modules will all run at the speed of your slowest modules
